Our Story

A Pickett County legacy.

In September 1980, Doug and Deborah Garrett bought a pharmacy on Courthouse Square in Byrdstown and renamed it Garrett's Drug Center. Doug became the first pharmacist from Pickett County to personally own his own pharmacy — a small milestone that meant the world to a town that takes care of its own.

Four years later, in September 1984, a fire swept through downtown and destroyed the building along with several other businesses. The Garretts rebuilt at 8456 Hwy 111, where we've served the community ever since. Today, the family continues that work in Byrdstown and at our second home in Clarkrange.

When you walk through our doors, you're not a number on a label. You're a neighbor.
